“I Am Light” — New Single by Jonathan Fitas for the Arte Series “Origines”

A musical glimpse of the new series by Arte.tv

Maison Mujō is pleased to unveil “I Am Light”, the first musical excerpt composed by Jonathan Fitas for the newly released Arte.tv documentary Origines.

A brief look at Origines

Origines is a cosmic documentary that revisits the formation of the universe through macro imagery, dynamic pigments, and light-driven experiments captured by director Roman Hill.
Rather than illustrating space with telescopic footage, the series translates astronomical cycles into abstract, flowing matter, offering a sensory perspective on the origins of the cosmos.
Developed with astrophysicist David Elbaz, the project blends scientific concepts with an artistic approach to visual storytelling.

The single: “I Am Light”

“I Am Light” introduces the musical identity of the series.
The track unfolds in a delicate balance of piano textures, subtle strings, and minimalist atmospheric layers, reflecting the emergence of luminosity as a theme.
With its calm pace and contemplative tone, the piece offers an intimate doorway into the sound world that accompanies the documentary’s visual language.

The complete soundtrack arriving soon

This single marks the beginning of the soundtrack’s unveiling.
The full 17-piece Original Soundtrack, including extended compositions created for immersive listening, will be released on December 15th, in parallel with the series’ arrival on Arte.tv.
