Origines is a cosmic documentary that revisits the formation of the universe through macro imagery, dynamic pigments and light-driven experiments captured by director roman hill. Rather than illustrate space with telescopic footage, the series translates astronomical cycles into abstract, flowing matter — a sensory perspective on the origins of the cosmos. Developed with astrophysicist david elbaz, it blends scientific concepts with an artistic approach to visual storytelling.

I am light introduces the musical identity of the series, unfolding in a delicate balance of piano textures, subtle strings and minimalist atmospheric layers that mirror the emergence of luminosity as a theme. Calm and contemplative, it is an intimate doorway into the sound world that accompanies the documentary’s visual language.

This single marked the beginning of the soundtrack’s unveiling. The full seventeen-piece original soundtrack, including extended compositions made for immersive listening, was released on december 15, in parallel with the series’ arrival on arte.tv.
